Girl Scout Activities at The Paint Your Own Pottery Studio

Girl Scout Day at The Paint Your Own Pottery Studio provides a chance for Junior, Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts to learn about ceramics. Girls will participate in stations including: Coil Pots with Red Clay, Techniques and Colors, and Painting Pottery. In addition girls will learn about dipping and firing pottery. Cadette and Senior Girls will complete several of the requirements for their Artistic Crafts Interest project, and Junior girls will earn Ceramics and Clay badges (see badge to the left).

The Paint Your Own Pottery Studio works through the Kennebec Girl Scout Council to provide sessions with appropriate activities. Our Girl Scout Day is open to all currently registered Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts, to troops and IRG's. All girls must be chaperoned. No tag-alongs, please.

A number of two-hour sessions are available throughout the fall, with a capacity of 40 girls per session. Available sessions will be listed soon; please check back for more information, or call us at

Scouting Activities
Girl Scouts troops are invited to visit The Paint Your Own Pottery Studio to work on other art-related girl scout badges. We have lots of stencils, sponges, stamps and idea books to help you get started, and we can show you different brush stroke techniques and color combinations.

Additional Junior Girl Scouts Badges are available, so please click link for a more complete listing. We offer a group discount for 8 or more painters; please contact us for more details or to set up a painting date for your girl scout troop.
